The Kickstarting For Good Incubator is back, and applications are now open! This fully funded programme is designed to support nonprofit organisations and impact-driven initiatives that are ready to drive transformative change in the global food system. Offering expert mentorship, seed funding, and in-person sessions in Berlin, the programme equips participants with the skills, resources, and connections needed to bring bold ideas to life. If you’re passionate about building a more sustainable and equitable food system, this is your chance to turn your vision into action.

Why Apply?

If you’re passionate about driving impact but need the training, connections, and resources to bring your vision to life, Kickstarting For Good is for you. This immersive programme equips participants with the skills, mindset, and mentorship needed to launch high-impact initiatives. Plus, finalists will have the chance to pitch their projects in Berlin, with seed funding of up to $50,000 up for grabs.

What to Expect

Kickstarting For Good is more than an incubator/accelerator—it’s a launchpad for food system innovators. Throughout the programme, participants will:

  • Learn from expert mentors and advisors
  • Gain hands-on experience in developing and scaling impact initiatives
  • Take part in one-to-one sessions in Berlin
  • Join a global community of mission-driven entrepreneurs

The programme culminates in a final pitch day where a jury of industry experts will award five top prizes ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, with every graduating initiative receiving a minimum of $5,000 in seed funding. Travel and accommodation costs for the in-person weeks in Berlin will be fully covered.

Proven Impact

Successful initiatives kickstarted by the team behind Kickstarting For Good include:

  • Animal & Vegan Advocacy (AVA) Summit: Now an independent global event series spanning four continents, the AVA Summit is set to attract around 2,000 visitors from 70 countries.
  • Vegan Business Circle International: Originally founded in Budapest, this initiative connects plant-based businesses and is now expanding to five more European cities.
  • Farm Adaptation Network: A collective from our 2024 cohort successfully raised over $100,000 in seed funding to support farmers transitioning away from animal-based agriculture.

How to Apply

Applications for the third cohort opened on 5 March and will close on 30 April. To apply, simply complete the application form on the Kickstarting For Good website.

Now operating with its own website and social media channels, Kickstarting For Good has evolved into an independent platform after a successful run under ProVeg International.
